Harbour Police Transport

The ports of Tees and Hartlepool have been served for over one hundred years by a dedicated and professional Harbour Police force.

The Harbour Police operate 24 hours a day, 52 weeks of the year. The team of officers patrol the ports of Tees and Hartlepool, detecting crime and providing as safe an environment as possible whilst also protecting the Port’s assets, personnel and commercial interests.

Harbour Police Equipment CCTV and the use of highly visible personnel promote the prevention of crime by removing criminal opportunities increasing the risk of criminals being caught.

In support of Harbour Police crime prevention activities, the team of officers have established long standing relationships with external bodies. This strong local support to ensure the safe keeping of Tees and Hartlepool ensures the officers can respond quickly and effectively to any incident.
